Sotol Extra Añejo H5 is made from 100% harvesting wild agaves and aged for five years. Sotol Extra Añejo is aged in French barrels at the Hacienda de Chihuahua (Mexico).
The entire process of cooking, fermentation, distillation and maturation is meticulously supervised by José Daumas, doctor of winemaker, who graduated from the world-renowned National Higher School of Agronomy in Montpellier, France.
Sotol Extra Añejo H5 is incorporated as the jewel in the crown of the Sotol Hacienda Chihuahua family, this fascinating spirit that is fermented with champagne yeasts, is aged in French white oak barrels for at least 5 years, providing an extraordinary richness in its aroma and a fine and unique flavor.
Sotol is an alcoholic beverage from Mexico, which is obtained from the distillation of the Dasylirion wheeleri plant known by the common name of sereque, and which grows in the Mexican desert. And it has had its own denomination of origin since 2002.
