Tequila Cascahuin, Tahona, 700ml
Cascahuin make a few different expressions of tequila however the distillery owner recently declared the blanco by Cascahuin as his favourite.
Cascahuín is a family-run tequila producer established in 1904 by Salvador Rosales Briseño in a small town called El Arenal in Jalisco (the Mexican home state of tequila). Briseño chose the name ‘Cascahuin’, a pre-Hispanic word meaning ‘Peak of Light’, to proudly reflect the origins of the tequila-making tradition, said to date back to 300 A.D. when the Aztecs used tequila in religious ceremonies.
